Rotary Foundation

Rotary Foundation projects

Changing Lives both at Home and Around the Globe.

During the past 100 years, the Foundation has spent $3 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects that range from wiping out 99.9% of polio cases worldwide, to training future peacemakers, to providing clean water to African nations, to opening new schools, to strengthening local economies… and with a 4-star Charity Navigator rating, you can be assured your donations to the Foundation are being used wisely and efficiently to support these projects (over 90% of donations go directly to supporting Rotary service projects around the world).

How does The Rotary Foundation use donations?

Our 35,000 clubs carry out sustainable service projects that support our six causes. With donations like yours, we’ve wiped out 99.9 percent of all polio cases. Your donation also trains future peacemakers, supports clean water, and strengthens local economies.

Beckley Rotary Club's

Goals for Rotary Club Foundation giving.

Every Rotarian, Every Year

That each member give something annually to the Foundation (whatever they can afford) to enable us to achieve Every Rotarian Every Year status.

Working To Eradicate Polio

That collectively we contribute at least $4,200 to the Polio Plus campaign to eradicate polio in the world (that equates to approximately $50 per member).

Sustaining Members

That we add at least two new Sustaining Members during the year (a Sustaining Member agrees to contribute a total of $100 annually to the Foundation), and

Increase Overall Club Giving

That we increase our overall club giving to both the Rotary Foundation and our local club charities fund by 10% over last year.

Join Our Campaign

Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. A defective gene causes the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections. Join us today in supporting abandoned and disabled children.
